Just came back from Disney 2 days prior. Didn't run at all on vacation. I finally hit a long run of 5 miles right before we left, but it was dismal and painful. I knew I would at least survive the ace, but I really didn't think I would get in before an hour. I was very surprised at how I finished, not a PR, but with very minimal training, I still got my goal of sub-hour. It hurt like hell and ran in brand new shoes- not something I recommend. Felt my wheels coming off at 2.5 miles so I knew I was in for a struggle. Sheer perseverance is the only thing that got me to the finish. Also stuck to a strict 0.5 mile run/0.1 mile walk schematic. Works well for me
