I have my winter bike fixed now. I had a new cassette put on my back wheel. I also put studded tires on the bike. It does seem to slow me down, but I will be happy about them when it is icy. I'm supposed to put about 40 km on them on pavement to set the studs, before it gets icy. Today's 20 will help.
