Good idea to go north first, for variety. Also, had access to porta-potty at north end. There was a police stake-out at the Assurity building, at least 4 units parked, not actively doing anything but watching the trail. At the south end, by the zoo, my run ended unexpectedly when I met an elderly man who needed help finding the Auld Center. He was headed to some veteran's event and was pretty confused, so I walked him the whole way, and that was pretty much the end of what would have been a 5 mile run. Hope he found his way back to his car afterward.
