Notes
This was one of those mornings when everything went right. I guess I got a good night's sleep. Ankle felt fine. Almost immediately in the run I wanted to establish a snappy cadence, so I did, and maintained it throughout. As I ran, I was much aware of PTT, and still running flatfooted in the left, and worried that I would pay later for this brisk run, but I didn't care. Could hear significantly more slap when the left foot came down. Tried to run without pushing off with the left. I was wearing my brace.
So, it doesn't really sound like a perfect run, but I guess goodness can be a relative thing, if not perfection. This was goodness. I don't think this will have a greater adverse effect on my PTT than some of my slower runs. Took a preemptive aspirin as soon as I got home. Rode bike to work.
Only saw two other runners on the trail. Nice watching the setting full moon, and seeing the 100-yard tree shadow cast in the moonlight.
