Notes
Bad parking snafu due to simultaneous State Robotics Championships. Traffic was backed up on the Interstate for a half mile both directions from the exits. The participants crowded the insides of the hangars as well. I don't hold that against them; rather, against museum management, who added the second event on top of the race PGE will be having a talk with them about next year.
Had a milkshake before leaving home around 2:30. I felt pretty good while running. The gravel on the service road both ways was uncomfortable. Otherwise, fine surfaces. A little crowded in a few places, but not as bad as previous years. Did not stop for water. I felt pretty strong throughout, considering I hadn't been running this far in my training. No award for me this year. I don't seem motivated to push quite hard enough. Only 7 seconds behind 3rd place.
Met Julie H prior, Lindsay B and Dick H after. Brian F, Xak B, and Michael M were there too, but I didn't see them. Xak later said he tried to get my attention.
Garmin shows 57:46.77 for 6.19 miles, but it was a bit late syncing with the satellites after we got out of the hangar.
