No indoor gathering place this year, so many of us were sitting in our cars for a while. I got out at 8:20 and jogged around the building while waiting for DD. No other LI-COR folks this year, except James D was there for his son in the one mile. I started out slow, as I had planned, then picked it up near mile one, at the MoPac. I used others a lot to help pace me. It's good to pick them off one by one, especially if they passed me earlier. I caught up with one girl who had passed me fairly early, and we ran together from mile 8 to the end. She was ahead a wee bit in the final stretch, and I told her not to let me pass her. She didn't. That was a good challenge for us both.
Disappointing not to get a PR on this effort. I must have been blazing when I got that 1:16.
