Snow on 52nd was softened and churned up by traffic. The trail, on the other hand, had been re-swept, and, although mostly ice, was more runnable than the street. This led me to stay on the trail by the lake, but on the way back, it looked like the road was pretty clear, so I went that way. I didn't feel as peppy as I would have liked, but okay. Met two women at the bridge, and one guy on E Van Dorn.
