It's a stretch to call this a fartlek run, but I did finally try a little speedwork in the last 1.5 miles. It was less plodding from there on. Lots of lightning in the south and east, but the rain avoided me again. Thought this was going to be one of those "nary a soul" runs, but finally met a walking woman. I did see two runners, but I turned off the trail before I met them.
