Notes
A whole week off. It just wasn't practical to run in Colorado. So, we got back fairly late last night, and I got to bed at 10:20 with my alarm set for 5:11.
Managed to get going and stagger out the door. My limbs felt heavy and I felt I was plodding along like an old man. It didn't feel terrible; just slow. Kept at it the whole way, expecting a time something like 1:04. Imagine my surprise seeing a sub-1:00 time. Goes to show a) the value of rest/taper and b) the inaccuracy of feel in correlating with results.
