M2M Segment One. Got up this morning at 3:20, met team at 4:15. Everything went smoothly except I forgot my reflective vest, meaning I was going to have to take it off and hand it to Eric as I handed him the baton. Team thought my shirt didn't have enough bedazzlement, so they made me put on Rod's singlet. Better, I agree. Lined up in the dark, fuzzy trombone guy called out my bib number. They were just checking to make sure we changed our starting wave from the BAD 9:20 assigned wave. Nice of them to change us, and I appreciate their thoroughness. Took off at with the group and felt good, and glad to get going in this chilly air. Apparently the competitive spirit hadn't hit me yet, because I took it really easy during this part. Really enjoyed it, though. Yeah, carrying the jousting club. Lots of comments throughout the day on our costumes.
