Notes

State Farm Run

Felt good starting out. I had forgotten my headband, but didn't miss it. I did start feeling pain in my left little toe that I had never felt before. It was apparently from hole in SmartWool sock, and the sock was bloody afterward. Packed snow on the trail during the first quarter mile had me worried - it would have been bad if it had been slippery like that the whole way.

First three miles convinced me that legs were totally up to the ten, and they were. I thought my form was fine the whole way, and I felt a bit sorry for other people who were bouncing, swaying, and otherwise running inefficiently. Glad to see the five mile turnaround, of course, but felt I had five more in me. Shortly after mile eight, switched to 2-2 breathing. Got chicked by three ladies during the last three miles, but I am okay with that; they are probably under 30. Lap around SF was hard, as always, but I maintained, and finished strong. Didn't realize until now that it was a PR; thought it fell slightly short. PR by seventeen seconds. AG good for $20. :)
