I didn't actually time this ride. Day off from running and what seems like one of the last nicer weekend days to ride so Naomi and I drove down to Solon to ride around Lake McBride (well not all the way around). It was a pleasant ride, though I could tell I haven't ridden in months.
We rode towards the park and when we arrived we found the usual road closed. That was the only way I knew but there were signs towards the spillway. Unfortunately we found the detour included some of the biggest and steepest hills around and I put way too much energy into getting up them (even after stopping to walk with Naomi). Not the best idea. Then I made the mistake of thinking we can just go back the known way as it only said closed to cars technically, but that didn't work either as a short section didn't allow bikes. So more steep hills on the way back.
