Notes

To get out of the 6mile rut I've apparently been in, I did the Red, Black, and Blue "Adventure Run" this morning hosted by the local Runner's Flat. It's not really a race, but there are raffle prizes (you earn tickets for every 10 mile loop you do, and for the most part, everyone got a prize). I started with Bowser, Scott, and the 2 Sevciks that run for Loras (Timothy and JP, so I've now met all 5 brothers). Scott soon slowed down to make sure others took the right turns, so I took charge of leading (it was the same course as the 50k). It was fun chatting with the Loras guys and swapping stories.

My hamstrings were more sore than yesterday and I needed to force them to work some, but overall I felt grand and hit a good pace throughout. It was all of our first long run in a while so no one tried to push the pace. Bowser was doing 2 laps so I continued with him for another couple miles before heading home. My right hip really started bothering me towards the end of the run, but otherwise a gratifying 14miles.
