Notes

I decided to go get me some gravel on this ride. I started off without much energy and going pretty slow (must be tired from something...). But once I got to the gravel, the ride became more technical and gave my legs a break. Instead my upper body was getting tired, especially my hands, as I tried to steady my bike over the rough terrain. And the further I went, the more rocky the road became. I only made it about 3 miles before happily getting back on paved roads. Now I was on a highway that must be a pretty popular bike route as it had large shoulders and many other bikers. But I desired one more adventure so I hit up the UNI NW prairie and for the first time I got into my smallest ring (once thought unnecessary). It actually was by accident I shifted 2 rings, but I didn't mind as this was really rough and bumpy and I went soooo slow. Good ride, only bad part was the last mile on busy roads I pushed myself harder than I should and felt my right quad flare up.
