Weariness and conditions led to a slower run as I tested out the trails once again. I'd say most are at about 80%, which just means most parts are runable but I can't seem to go more than a few minutes without finding a muddy or flooded section. Which also meant I couldn't let my mind wander and float through a few miles like I enjoy to do on singletrack.
The past few weeks have been odd, not really sure what I'm doing with training as I recovery from the marathon but also getting "ready" for a race. No workouts but the morning group runs have steadily become faster and harder. I think I'm going to try to push myself hard this upcoming week and then recover for a week as I'll likely be racing something on the 26th. Then I don't have any races planned for awhile so I'll hope for a solid month of mileage in August.
