Notes
I wanted to get some faster paces in today, partly because I didn't have soccer last night and partly because I felt so good yesterday. Today didn't feel quite as good, possibly just because I ran more on bike paths than trails. Also had some strain from a slightly twisted ankle yesterday. Anyway, all I did was 2 x 2 min tempo/cruise with full recovery and then a couple uphill bounds/sprints. Felt alright trying to get more bounce/power out of my legs than usual. Then headed back just trying to go more than yesterday but then overshot and just needed a few more minutes for 12.
It certainly doesn't hurt to have cooler temps, but it does feel dandy to run 12 miles and it feels like a normal run.
