Pollux texted me after my run on Saturday looking to get a run together. I had completely forgotten he was in Ames and felt bad that my running week was done and Sunday didn't work. We did get an early run in today though (even with how early I've been running, Pollux manages to get me out even earlier, smh).
We did the same hilly and often forested gravel loop as last time we were in Huxley (little town between Ames and Ankeny). This time I got Pollux on the small Forest Preserve and reminded myself it is pretty solid. We almost did a mile loop on trails and while there may not be much more, we didn't do everything.
The hills, humidity, and faster pace were not kind to me as my stomach was upset. I felt better by the end though.
