Notes
Another Sunday with forecasted rain that canceled my potential 14er or climbing plans. So I got it in my head that I would get up on Sunday, drive straight to the foothills, and make up for yesterday's lameness with a good climb.
I woke up, felt tired, and went back to bed starting to make excuses. Some motivation must have bubbled up though as I eventually got back up and stormed out the door.
By the time I got to the trailhead, I was losing confidence though. My calves and glutes were feeling a bit tired and my stomach felt oddly full (cooked too many beans last night, and don't really have anything to store them in). But, I took it slow and felt pretty normal (compared to yesterday). My stomach turned at halfway, but only had downhill from there.
Lots of bikes on this trails; passed a few going uphill. I can't imagine biking out here. It takes twice as long to go up, and then you go down twice as fast. Neither sounds pleasant.
