Notes
After walking Arlo, it became clear that ice would be an issue on this run. I knew conditions would be better later or tomorrow, but I decided I wouldn't likely have the motivation to run long by myself. So I drove to the start (instead of running the 1 mile), and when I saw people there, I decided to run. I also decided to wear Yaktrax for the first time ever (maybe not the best idea to start that on a long run). I don't know how much they helped, and while they were annoying on non ice or snow covered roads, I never felt like I was in danger of falling.
So the 4 of us made our way to downtown, around the Capitol, around Grey's Lake. I don't know if it was completely the conditions, but we ran slow and it didn't feel great (not to mention the wind was being a cold bitch). Happily got to 15 miles, and maybe more importantly, nearly 2 hours of running. A bit depressing to see 15 miles in the same time it took to run 17 a week ago, but you got to take what the conditions give you.
