I decided I would try a faster run today. It didn't seem like I was quite ready for tempo, so I opted for a slower steady-state. With that in mind and a downhill to start, I guess the workout started right away. I enjoyed myself. I saw the entire Mizzou XC team come by (at least that was my assumption, it seemed like too many runners for a D1 team, but what do I know. Maybe they haven't made cuts yet). I was fatigued and ready to be done at times, but mostly I stayed in control. It was faster than my normal runs, hopefully 7min for 6 miles isn't actually my steady-state pace.
