With 2 days until I'm racing a 10k, I was very much more aware and concerned about how my body was holding up. And as is too typical, I'm a bit worried about being tired and sore before the race.
The pace was also hot from the start today (blame the usual suspect, I think he's mixing up correlation with causation...), then we headed for the hills and I left the group after 1.
I should probably be training through this race (or rather, recovering through this race), but I've got a chance to win and it's part of a 3-race series I'm doing (I'm currently in 2nd place) and doing well could make the half-marathon in September much more interesting. So recovery is the name of the game now and hopefully I'll hit the next week harder.
