Notes

Yep, barely over 50degrees when last week was nearly 80. I'd spotted this forecast last week and planned the long run, but it was even 10degrees cooler than anticipated - great for a long run.

Hero and I gathered at Center Trails; I was thinking I might be able to run every darn trail here (nearly did, but not quite due to a few detours). We started off crossing the RR bridge and staying flat for awhile. The trails were annoyingly wet at first, but we either got used to it or it was the worst right away. We passed by the parking lot around 10 and did a little more before Hero broke off. My knees were starting to feel creaky but felt great other than a near side-ache a few miles back. I thought about going full tempo for the last 4 miles, but instead stuck to the hilly trails (though it was still a harder effort and faster pace).

Great run, though I wouldn't be surprised if something hurts tomorrow (too many options: back, hamstrings, quads, or feet).

SIDENOTE: This run nearly has a very bitter ending as I drove off with my keys on top of my car, not realizing until I got back to the apartment. Hazard drove me back and thankfully found my key fob right on the ground. I must have good karma.

Nice work Nutmeg. The mileage is looking solid.
