Notes

I just wanted to hit 70 this week, and then I'll stop worrying about mileage for a few weeks (however pitiful that mileage already is). So I needed 11 miles today, and though I was tired yesterday, I was much more sore today - mainly the calves (damn spikes I haven't worn in years).

The run started off with some hope as a puppy started running besides me, I should have just kept going as he was adorable, but I turned around to return him to his owners.

I tried to keep to grass and dirt around Water Works and explored some bridal trails, but those are just too torn up. Next up was turning back and running past Grey's Lake. Here I made the mistake of not stopping at a bathroom and would pay the price later...

The main objective of this run (besides 11 miles) was doing some barefoot. I jumped on the dike and ran about 2 miles barefoot. Unfortunately the grass turned mostly to tire-tread dirt but it was still manageable. 1 more hill and I was kaput for the day.

***Also, without much thought, I didn't bike at all this week. Basically it was crappy early in the week and then I wanted to rest the 2nd half of the week.
