Ride with Drew in Des Moines between Drake sessions. Started in the Des Moines Water Works, had to cross several streets before getting on the Great Western Bike Trail. It had regular gravel road crossings but otherwise a nice trail. It took me awhile to get going as we started into the wind, but thankfully there were no hills so I never had to destroy myself. I gradually started to feel better and we got going pretty fast when we got the wind at our back. Only odd thing was a brake pad came loose, stopping my bike and possibly getting my rear wheel out of the frame (at least I hope that was the reason). Fun ride, need to bike with people more often.
