NW Gravel

Notes

Conditions weren't much better than yesterday, ice on every sidewalk. I could run on roads, but only the main streets were completely ice-free so I had to run down the center of some not-so-busy roads. My big plan was to make it to some gravel, but the gravel wasn't much better; it was completely iced over down the middle, no salt out here.

I guess this road wasn't nearly as rocky as I had imagined. However, the shoulder had collected all the rocks, or at least enough to be above the ice layer. This allowed me to run normally, albeit on a slanted surface of quite hard, immovable rocks.

I was content with what I had so I activated my plan for a hill workout on both sides of this one hill. It worked out and felt pretty good doing 2 repeats on the shorter side, followed by 5 repeats nearly quarter-mile side. Then 1 final sprint up the center of a normal road.
