Notes
Another morning run made possible by waking up earlier than I planned. I set out hoping my wardrobe decisions wouldn't leave me too cold (felt good after a few miles of warming up). My plan today was more of a progressive long run, which is easy to plan at the beginning of a run when all I have to do is run easy.
After the bike paths and gravel to get out of town, the hills began. I realized I was already 6 miles in and hadn't picked up the pace so I tried to. At least the effort increased as I did some short-steep hills and a few longer ones. After the final hill around 9 miles I benefited from a long downhill to gradually get used to a faster pace. Finally I started feeling good AND running fast. Unfortunately I was near home and had to run a few more miles away first, but I was enjoying myself.
