After many offers to run the last 4 days, no one wanted to run with me tonight :(. So I did a workout! I figure tempo is the best way to train for a half, so that's what I did. Started with a 15min tempo, but I definitely let my mind wander and didn't go very fast at times (particularly on the gravel stretch). The 2nd piece was much more intentional. I was shooting for 20min but felt good so went for 25. At 25 I was right at the bottom of the main bridge so I charged up that before stopping. Felt good, more like a progression run then complete tempo.
Today's story: One lady in front of me lost her dog when bikers went by and was chasing after her dog. It felt a bit odd running by her as she was "sprinting" and exhausted. However, there was no way I was catching that dog either.
