Notes

Morning race with Loki. Ate banana and some Kashi heart cereal 3 hours before race after a big meal late the night before. Stomach felt good and I had recovered from the previous weekend. The pace the first 2 miles was 80sec laps which unfortunately felt fast. Starting hitting 78's or so for 2 more miles. 5k ~16:20. Wasn't sure if my legs could take the pounding of the race but after 5k I was ready to go. I was boxed in for several laps so when I found some space with over 9 laps to go I went for it a little too hard. ~73sec next lap. Dropped everyone which was good and bad. Started to slow and realized no one was coming so continued the long grind towards home. Last few laps were starting to hurt and got passed with 500 to go. No response though maybe I should care a bit more about the race instead of just being happy with my time. Overall a good time (32:30) and built some confidence. Very excited about another 10k with a faster pace.
