Notes
An odd mile for me as the 1st half mile felt pretty good.
Before the race even started, the announcer kept on changing the starttime - first 7, then 7:10, and finally 7:05. The race began with 3 guys (including drew) breaking away then a large pack several seconds back. I was in a great position of drafting, though the wind was at our back.
At halfway I was feeling good and excited to pass people on the homestretch, but instead my legs just didn't have it. I don't know my half split, so maybe it was slow and everyone else was feeling just as good. Or my legs are more tired than I thought. In any case, I don't think the headwind felt too bad but still, I'm fairly certain I ran faster than Norse Relays. So a step in the right direction, just initially disappointing after last year's PR race.
I suppose I'm signed up for a 1500 on Friday, so let's hope my legs just needed a shock and will be ready to go again.
