So instead of 'racing' a 25k, I didn't run at all. Here's what happened: I was driving to the 25k when my Dad called, asking when I'll be home. I said about 3-4. He then informed me the concert in Des Moines was at 2, so some miscommunication and failure on my part assuming it was an evening concert. After debating the possibilities for a mile (of driving), I turned home. Didn't have time to run until 8 so I just passed it up, did some lunges and whatnot instead.
