Notes

Travel day yesterday to La Crosse, same tomorrow back to Columbia. So I was hoping for a good run today. Circumstances led to a lunch run, which I haven't done in a while, but it went well. The parking lot was full when I arrived, and by that I mean I didn't realize how people behaved once the parking lot was full (seeing later a middle row being formed. So I backtracked to an alternate entrance that starts with a long and steep uphill.

I ran and sometimes walked the uphill, I did not want to ruin this run in the first 10min. I was still wiped but apparently had enough energy for 50 more minutes. I kept away from the main trail which meant I saw few people (or maybe people just hang out in the parking lot?). I did a loop through the MTB part, which was fun but also clear by downhill skills or muscles still need plenty of work (in addition to my uphill muscles).

Finally, a couple miles back down to the car. I took a route I'd never done and it was terrible, a steep, rocky, and overgrown downhill. Still somewhat enjoyable of course. I finished the hour and the most climbing I've done this year.
