Notes
I was only planning 5 and got dropped off downtown (as Naomi was heading there), so it's a good thing I felt pretty good since I took a dead-end detour. I wasn't thinking I'd feel good after having some weird stomach feels for the past 24 hours.
I started downtown and thought I'd check out the Mizzou public track, it's a 1/3 mile square track that seems decent enough. I had to run through campus to get there, so many students (very aware of my shorter shorts).
I tried to head west on a similar road that I've failed before on. Turns out the whole neighborhood doesn't go anywhere. Apparently there was access to the MKT but I didn't notice.
After turning around, I took the fastest way back which meant running on the shoulder of a main street. But it was a big shoulder and I was on the grass for half of it. Back on the MKT and home from there to make it a hillier day than planned. Feels good to feel good though.
P.S. I checked out a new bathroom along the MKT, very nice one, just a little further off the trail. I arrived and found a permanent sign saying "Bathrooms closed October 15th to March 15th". So I'll count myself lucky that it was open.
