No real plans going into today other than thinking that I haven't done a workout in a week now. I decided to do some speedier work again but still not going to the track. 15 x 1min on/1min off. I thought 5k pace to start and then go faster.

3.5miles warm-up feeling good and looking good. But I probably could have used a quick tempo to ease into the repeats since I started off rusty and slower than I would have liked. The 1st 4 were closer to 5:10 (which you could argue is my 5k pace, but who knows).

The next 7 were more around 5:00 depending on the slight inclines and declines. Although by halfway through, the inclines were going faster as it seemed my form/cadence was more in sync with the inclines. Last 4 a little faster and 2.5 miles back home.

The oddest part of this workout was how quick the recovery minutes were. Their pace was basically my normal distance pace and often faster than 7min. That is not my norm. Was I not working hard enough on the actual speedwork? I tried to feel relaxed, though I would have traded that for feeling strong.
