I wasn't going to double today but Ultimate was cancelled due to heat. Since Ultimate has been my makeshift speedwork each week, I decided I ought to do something faster. Plan became 5 x short hills @ tempo/10k/5k.
It was indeed hot and I didn't avoid the sun, but I made sure to not come even close to an all-out workout. Splits came down each time: 63, 61, 59, 58, 57sec. Plenty tired by the end, still, but the heat, high-mileage, and first workout in awhile will do that.
44 miles in 3 days, very solid, might just take tomorrow off and go for 36 miles in the final 3 days.
