Not feeling quite like myself this morning after a late night with odd eating times and a few drinks after Naomi's Graduation. The plan was 2 x 15min @ marathon and slightly faster paces. But I didn't have a plan at all for where to run. I started on the bike path and actually went NW since the wind made the plowed and un-plowed sections basically the same. Eventually that did turn the snow to drifts and I turned to gravel roads. Little did I know that the gravel would be the best surface to run on as I started my first rep. However, I headed back towards town since the wind was getting to me and I thought I might want a bathroom.

The 15min became 12.5min as I did want a porta-potty. That lengthened the planned recovery too. The next 15min was barely faster (both were generally 6:30 pace). The footing was simply not good (except for a few spots when I ran down the center of a street) and I had more turns.

This was similar to Monday, it's hard to feel great about the workout when your pace is so off even if the effort was the same. And I'm feeling more beat up afterwards than in nice conditions. Also worried about getting quality workouts over the next few weeks if the rough footing remain. Maybe I'm just ready for the rest week coming up.
