--- Didn’t feel the best. Legs were heavy and felt worse each lap (9:01, 9:11 and 9:12), and I was breathing too hard. Wanted 9:00 pace so a little faster than I planned as well, but it’s done. ---

Adjusted splits: 8:40, 8:48, 8:48 and 8:55 pace last 0.10 miles
Stayed up later than I wanted. Started running later too. Because of that, now would have to deal with all the kids and traffic right around school time. Just wanted three easy laps around Parks (3.12 miles) right around 9:00 pace.
Lately when I feel bad to start it gets better as the run goes on. It’s usually on the easy runs when I feel this. Today I felt decent in the beginning but worse each lap. Legs felt heavy and I had no pop. It also felt like I was breathing a little too hard for what I wanted. Went 9:01, 9:11 and 9:12.
The last lap I dealt with an old lady who took her time backing out of her driveway on Lowell St., then pulled up as a kid was coming the other way on the sidewalk and I was running, then backed out again. Then she started driving and just stopped in the lane on her side and looked like was looking for something down on the passenger seat. Meanwhile, cars were waiting behind her. I yelled back to her “What are you doing?!?!?!” Not sure if she heard me or not but she did eventually pull off to the side.
I’m happy to get it over with but didn’t feel the best. Also happy to get in four straight runs in a tough stretch of work and looking forward to a day off tomorrow.
