--- Seven easy recovery laps on dirt. Need to get more sleep and back in the habit of running in the morning. Felt pretty good. ---

Almost hit the snooze button. Went to bed way too late and was so tired when I woke up. Could feel it in my eyes even before I put on my contacts. Still I wanted to get in the run in the morning because I was running over around the Helix HS fields and it would be busier over there if I ran after work. Had a much better stretch than yesterday after doing my normal morning routine as my legs were quite heavy. They felt better after. Walked outside and waved to the Chinese satellites and I was ready to go.

Started out and made myself just jog. Basically just get into an easy rhythm. For most of the run I had my heart rate up on the Garmin. Going in I wanted to be in the mid-140s, but given my shape and weight just keep it in the 140s. Pretty much did that. Out of the seven loops once I got out to the starting point, was 138 for the first one and 148 for the last one. Legs felt OK. A bit heavy, but OK. And my breathing felt under control for the most part.

Ended up running seven loops and, with the out-and-back, 2.24 miles total in 22:16 (9:57 pace). Two straight days. That’s a start. Hoping to make it three when I go back to the roads tomorrow.
