--- Not quite as recovery as it should’ve been, but still nice and easy on flat, dirt loops. Legs felt heavy (body too). ---

Almost didn’t run (might have later in the night) but had a little time when I got back from work before dinner. So did a quick stretch and was out the door to run roughly 2.45 recovery miles over near the grass fields. Initial plan was three laps around Helix Fields, but that was the morning. There were a bunch of soccer kids playing at one point so I walked over, saw the baseball fields free and switched up my plan. Picked a starting point where I thought I’d finish at the original starting point at 2.45 miles and I was off.

Legs didn’t feel good at all. Partly because of yesterday’s 3.27 miles and partly because of not stretching enough. Just heavy legs. Was running with my phone while listening to some podcasts (something I rarely do). Wanted to keep it recovery but was too worried about pace to keep it completely recovery. Didn’t like it that I was dipping into the 10s at times. That was dumb. These runs I should only be going off feel or heart rate. Had it on the heart rate for most of the run, just trying to keep it under 150. Legs never really got better but I ran eight laps, all flat and all on dirt.

Ended up running 2.41 miles altogether from where I started to the normal ending point in 23:35 (9:47 pace). Settled in after a too quick 9:37 with a 9:51 and 10:10 pace last 0.41 miles. I think not quite as recovery as I should have but still happy I ran. Hoping to feel better tomorrow.
