Notes

I woke up this morning still in a NyQuill fog and plodded out the door. My throat didn't hurt as much and my body didn't feel as achy, but my sinuses were all stuffy and I was still feeling crummy with this cold. I found a port-o-potty at 22 minutes to drop off some weight and started to find rhythm after that. Around 50 minutes, I saw I was clipping off 6:15-6:20 miles and feeling decent. About 70 minutes in, I felt my right hamstring tighten. I staid steady and just hoped in would loosen. It did for a little but I felt a knot tie up in it around 90 minutes. That got better for a little while but then I just started to feel tight all over. WIth less than 20 minutes left, my legs were getting tight all over and my form was falling apart. I couldn't prevent my left foot from slapping the ground and my right hip was burning up. I stayed at a 6:15 pace the last 30 minutes, but it took a lot of focus. In all, it was a good effort and would have been better if I wasn't fighting this cold.
