Ran with Henz from NCC. Henz has a cold, so we just started easy. I had to dump, so we tried to find one at Kennedy JH but the port-o-potty was gone. From there I decided I wanted to do some hills. Despite not feeling well, Brian came along. I got my dump out at the port-o-potty at the hill and then did 6 painful ones. I put a smile on my face the last 2 and tried to enjoy the pain. Henz did three hills and then took a dump. After my 4th, he headed back to school and told me to catch him. After 2 more hills I took off up the road hill and then began the 4 mile tempo back to school. I knew Henz had a huge lead, but I just kept picturing him to be slightly out of sight. My splits were 5:32, 5:29, 5:30, 5:14. Got back to school in 75 minutes and added on another 15 to get to 90.
I'm very pleased with this run. I wasn't sure how I would feel today after my disaster of a long run Sunday.
