My review:

Gearing is under-powered off the rack. Had to beef up the chain ring and rear cassette in order to get over 30 mph on downhills. Bike is sturdy and handles well, but it is not a racer. Added a rack, lights, and one-sided SPD clip-in pedals to make it my commuter bike. It has taken lots of abuse and I ride it 60~70 miles per week during the summer. Hayes disc brakes wore out in the rear and the gearing is a little squirrely when I gear up on the main chainring (ie, it throws the chain). Keeping chain lubed helps, but wish it was 2-banger rather than 3 up front; don't need all those gears. Bike looks like a beast and carries the load. It is still faster than most bikes since I beefed-up the drive train. I will eventually ride this into the ground, just not sure when. I would rate this higher, but it came under-powered and needed more aggressive gearing than what it had off the shelf. Brakes are hard to self-service.
