Notes
This started out okay but turned out to be my worst run ever. After about mile 8, I started losing steam, more rapidly after mile 9. I was on a loop, so I had to finish, though it meant slow shuffling and lots of walking. Upon finishing, I felt dizzy and queasy; less than an hour later I emptied my stomach contents, which wasn't very nice.
My strategy for long runs in the near future is this: start very slow, take strategic walk breaks in every mile, and run short loops in case trouble arises. At this point, even my marathon is drawn into question; I want to run it, but safety must come first.
Splits:
Mile 3.84 - 34:23 (34:23, or 8:57/mile)
Mile 7.78 - 1:09:40 (35:17, or 8:57/mile)
Mile 10.72 - 1:39:43 (30:03, or 10:13/mile)
Mile 13.19 - 2:10:13 (30:30, or 12:21/mile)
Start/end at driveway instead of corner - increased route distance by .04 mile
At finish: 144/20.
