Notes
Trail running, but not many walk breaks
Overall: 6
Enjoyment: 6 - A long solo run on the trail. It was nice getting out there.
Experience: 7 - It started out really cold, and I was thankful for my jacket, but ended up much warmer and the jacket just held all my sweat in. Must research new jackets. I loved the early morning mist off the water, and listening to the birds. There were very few people along the course, until the return section on the C&O Canal. By mid-day there were quite a few people on it.
Effort: 8 - I was going at a good pace. Well below what's needed for the race. I did run out of steam for the last 3 miles or so.
Pain: 3 - Mostly, there wasn't any pain. About miles 14-16 did bring on some knee pain, but the last few miles it was gone. It's touchy now. I can feel it more than last week, but still not really painful. I'm hoping tomorrow it will be fine. My legs were ok after the run. I was sure I'd be hobbling around the rest of the day, but I'm feeling surprisingly well.
