80 degrees has a distinctive scent in October...triggering thought and memory...then an interpretation...and then the corresponding feelings of a past experience. In all of just a few seconds...one can go from October 9, 2018 to relive some previous year. It is just one example of how the mind keeps past alive...even if the past was painful moment...the mind is in love with keeping it so that it can have something to refer to...and hold on to...and stir up to ruin or outdo what is a beautiful experience now surrounded by brilliant changing color, spicy air and vigorous breeze all in the name of making itself exist.
I see you...I know who you are and I know what you are doing. But I admire your relentless and...well desperate attempts to stop what is killing you with increasing swiftness and momentum.
