Nice slow trail run with Kathleen from the Sage Creek High School parking lot, up the Solar Trail to the trail system around Calavera Lake, doing the Lake Loop trail (red) combined with the Oak Riparian (blue) trails, where we met a new friend and trail guide, 69 year old Michael Lockett, a recently retired philosophy professor from Palomar College, who showed us more of the trail system and up to the old volcano, where I took several photos. Fun discovery, ending at Revolution Roasters in Carlsbad for coffee and salmon/avocado toast.
