25F 59%H 13DP Polar Bear 5k in Marietta, GA. Signed up to support a workmate who was running his first 5k. Didn't know if I would be able to run because of afib/flutter problems, but they straightened out before the start. I stayed with him for the first half mile, but then when I saw that my heart was playing nicely, I picked up the pace. Still didn't go very fast because I don't have my legs back, but it was nice to be able to do something anyway. Course is ok, a couple of inclines, but some nice declines too. I understand it wasn't the same course as last year. This year it was two 1.5 mile loops. Kind of odd for a 5k to have loops. I was number 8519 and they used the B-Tab on the back of the bib for timing. Never did see a start mat so don't know how they recorded the starting time. Likewise I don't know if I started my Garmin at the right place or not.
