74F 92%H 71DP, on the Silver Comet Trail. Just wanted the entire run to average under 11:00 mpm. Did that, but it wasn't easy. On the second half where I usually fly, especially from four miles out, I was just barely hanging on. It wasn't that I went out too fast, it was the 10.24 miles I did yesterday with 5 of them below 10:30. Without yesterday's run I'm sure I would have been considerably faster.
Anyway, this pretty much convinces me that I'll be under 10:30 for next weeks Chicago RnR Half Marathon. Chicago is flatter, there will be race day adrenalin, people to use as pacers, and I'll make sure to run on rested legs. I won't run Saturday, a travel day, but am not sure what to do about Friday. I hate to waste these half days, but perhaps I should just cool it there too.
Got up at 0415 which seems to work well to get there for a bit before sunrise run.
