Notes

It's good to be back at home. The last 10 days were stressful. Family reunions can be trying. I couldn't muster the nerve to run while I was staying at the condo in Chicago. Maybe I was just lazy, or maybe I just wan't feeling it.

It's been a while since I let 2 full days go by without running. I try to go no more than one.

Today's run was a good stress reliever and intro back into some serious running. During the 1st half-mile, my Achilles tendon was a little sore, but after they loosened up, I was good. I was running in hotter weather than usual and was surprised I held up so well.

Speaking of loosening, I wore my Sprints a little looser than usual. I think they helped in the full range of the motion of my feet. I've got a 5-mile race (or two?) sometime this week. I want to save my competitive juices for it.

I practiced a sort of moving meditation and focus. I try to concentrate on all aspects of my running form for as long as I can.

My mind if all over the place after running, so for now on, I'm going to write tidbits as they come along, without worrying about prose, grammar and the like.
