wasnt sure what to expect after doing16 miles yesterday...typically I don't run the day after my long run.
When I first strarted my hamstrings and hips seemed very tight so I thought maybe I'd run 3 easy miles and then 1 fast mile and finish with 3 easy miles. Decided though to try and run faster with each mile....thinking I would work down to 8:00 pace (if I could handle it). I was able to pick speed up as I went and tried to focus on using my glutes to push me and it seemed to make a big difference making the faster miles not so hard (still hard but not unattainable)
