TERRIBLE RUN...
plan was to run 2 easy miles and then 3 marathon pace miles (8:15-8:30) and then 2 easy miles.
My first 2 easy miles I had alot of shin pain and ankle pain and I wondered if my shoes were too tight. I stopped and loosened my shoe stings and retied them. It seemed to help for just a bit but when I picked the pace up my ankles really started to hurt. I ended up stopping 4 or 5 times (the first 2 times I stopped my watch but the last few times I didnt) to stretch it out and/or walk. The last few miles I would run faster (using glutes) and then the pain would intensify so I would slow down. My last mile I just went slower but did pick it up in the last 1/2 mile knowing that I could deal with the pain for a short bit longer.
